magicana : my magic hands :
In 2005, Julie Eng had the delight of working with Magicana to design a program specifically for the senior citizen community called Senior Sorcery.
The goal of the program is to bring live theatre in the form of magic shows to isolated seniors. The program also strives to actively engage seniors and to empower them by giving them the ability to invite their family and friends to a special event. The program is also designed to bridge or connect the generations by offering a group activity that all can participate in, enjoy and most importantly, talk about later.
Julie takes great delight in working with seniors and in their homes or community centres. She has also often surprised activity coordinators with her interactive show with this older audience with her ability to enchant and truly entertain the group. Julie always looks forward to bringing magic to seniors for Magicana.
